With a busy lunch and dinner trade, sports bar, restaurant and alfresco spaces, The Duke is a fast-paced venue delivering quality food in a relaxed, community-focused environment.

We’re on the hunt for an experienced and hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen and continue driving a consistent, high-quality food offering. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume pub environment, understands how to run strong kitchen systems and enjoys leading a team through busy service periods.

The menu focuses on quality, hearty pub fare with British influence, from pub classics and grill favourites through to share-style dishes and weekly specials.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef in a busy pub, bistro or casual dining venue

• Ability to lead and develop a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment

• Strong understanding of kitchen systems including rostering, invoicing, ordering, stocktaking and cost control

• Experience managing labour and food costs while maintaining consistency and quality

• Passion for delivering quality pub food with efficient service

• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills

• A calm and solutions-focused approach during busy trade periods
