We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Head Chef to supervise the kitchen operations at a large aged care facility on the Central Coast.  The Role:  Are you a Chef that has experience in Aged Care? Join this team today! You must enjoy a team environment and there is plenty of support for you everyday Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm $70,000 - $80,000 + super   211 bed facility  You will be responsible for lunch and dinner for the residents Making texture modified meals  You will be supported by a Chef Manager, Cold Larder & Breakfast Chef The role involves:  Overall kitchen management - leading & managing chefs, kitchen hands & catering assistants Menu planning for residents daily meals, conferences & functions Cooking a variety of nutritious home style & gourmet meals Conducting stock takes, ordering stock & monitoring food costs Monitoring & promoting kitchen hygiene and Food Safety Practices About You: Bring your culinary expertise to the table, showcasing your creativity and skill in crafting memorable dishes. Australian citizen or resident with unlimited valid work rights  Must have experience in kitchens and food preparation Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent  Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (advantageous)  Previous experience in aged care or catering (advantageous)  Effective team leadership & management  Experience in bulk cooking, functions, and/or high-end catering  The successful candidate must have a current flu vaccine and be covid vaccinated. You will also be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check (Police Check) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.  The Client:  Our client is an industry leading Aged Care facility that provides care and community for all types of residents.
