Your Role as Groundsperson 

The Groundsperson takes pride in keeping our Retirement Living communities’ gardens and outdoor spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. Working independently or with the wider facilities team, this role looks after day-to-day garden maintenance and supports other sites as needed to help create a pleasant environment for our residents. Tasks include:  

• Garden and lawn maintenance 

• Leaf blowing 

• Weed control 

• Pressure cleaning 

• Bin movement 

• Mentoring new staff 

What We’re Looking For 

• Experience in grounds maintenance of large campuses  

• Knowledge of plant care and pesticides  

• A caring communication style, with sensitivity to the needs of older adults and people with disability 

Essential Requirements 

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy) 

• Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy. 

• Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
