  • Support cash management, treasury routines, working capital monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and funding requirements through proactive analysis and input.

  • Operate as a trusted, approachable business partner to ANZ leadership, providing timely financial insights and accounting guidance to support projects, tenders, and commercial decisions.

  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhancements to internal controls in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Work effectively with regional teams, global HQ, and shared service centres, confidently presenting clear financial information to senior management and the Board.

  • Lead and develop a small accounting team in a supportive, collaborative style that fosters teamwork and shared accountability.

About you:

  • Tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance, along with CPA or CA qualification.

  • Prior experience in a large multinational business and one of the Big Four accounting firms.

  • Highly proficient in SAP and BI tools (Power BI, QlikView, or equivalent).

  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

  • Knowledge of the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS) and related requirements.

  • Exposure to M&A integration of subsidiaries, joint ventures, associates, and legal entity simplification.

  • A collaborative leader who thrives in complex, matrixed organisations and builds strong, trusting relationships across functions, interstate teams, and overseas shared service accounting centres.

  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritise effectively and deliver in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

If you are a partnership-oriented leader who values partnership, governance, and collective success, we invite you to bring your expertise to Alstom and help shape sustainable mobility across Australia and New Zealand.
