We’re hiring a Head of Commercial Finance - Speciality Retail at Toll Group to drive commercial success within our Specialty Retail North business. This is a full-time opportunity based at Prestons with the flexibility to work from multiple sites across NSW!

A Day in the Life of a Head of Commercial Finance - Speciality Retail at Toll Group

• Lead the Specialty Retail Commercial Finance function, delivering high‑quality financial analysis, commercial insights, and risk management to drive profitability.
• Partner closely with the Specialty Retail leadership and site‑based operations to implement action plans and embed continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own annual budgeting, quarterly re‑forecasting, and accurate financial reporting to support informed strategic decision‑making.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate clear KPIs and performance insights for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
• Oversee invoicing processes to optimize revenue capture, improve working capital efficiency, and strengthen financial controls.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract management, and business case development, while empowering and developing a diverse Commercial, Administrative, and Operations Support team.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Extensive (7+ years) commercial finance experience, with strong analytical, financial modeling, and advanced MS Excel capabilities.
• Demonstrate experience within Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehousing environments, applying cost driver, productivity, and commercial analysis.
• Lead CAPEX preparation and evaluation, with prior experience managing investments valued between $1–10 million.
• Apply sound knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial governance to support robust decision‑making.
• Exhibit a proven track record in people leadership, alongside experience in customer and/or supplier contract negotiations.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and bring familiarity with Power BI, which is considered desirable.
