About the role The Head of Communications and Marketing (Interim) is a pivotal member of the executive team responsible for shaping and implementing organisational strategy. This role involves providing strategic expertise to position the organisation as a leader in a particular area of health.
In this role you will convey the organisation's mission to diverse stakeholders and oversee marketing and external communications efforts.
Responsibilities in this role include (but are not limited to):
- Providing executive leadership for marketing communication
- Offering high-level communications advice to drive media coverage and advocacy
- Preparing reports tracking marketing and communications performance
- Guiding a small team.
The interim role is full time (i.e. 5 days per week) with most days being in the office in Melbourne’s CBD. Some days working remotely are available at the organisation’s sole discretion.
About you You are an established communications and marketing practitioner who shows the following in your application:
- Senior leadership experience in marketing and communications
- Proven track record in campaign delivery and evaluation
- Excellent writing skills
- Integrity, maturity, and strong personal and business ethic
- Understanding of the health sector in Australia (preferrable).
Importantly, you are available to start work shortly in a finite contract role.
