The Head of Data and Analytics will lead our data and analytics functions as we embark on the replacement of our core banking system with the latest, state-of-the-art advancements in banking technology.
The position will manage a small team and report directly to the Chief Information Office while providing support to all non-Finance business units including marketing, sales, operations, credit decisions, collections and product management teams to deliver value add reporting, analytics and modelling. The role will also have ownership of BNK data, data governance, systems, reporting, modelling and associated IT processes.
What you will bring
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry;
- Ability to manage large files of data;
- Ability to reconcile data;
- Working knowledge of APRA, ASX and ASIC regulations and legislation; and
- Ability to use data manipulation tools like PowerBI, SAS, Python (Essential)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation;
- Strong analytical skills and a high degree of numeracy;
- Tertiary Qualifications in Finance/Economics/Mathematics/ Engineering or other relevant discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, run, automate and update BNK reporting,
- Produce frameworks, models and optimisation tools to maximise BNK Returns,
- Develop and own the data governance model
- Be the custodian and champion of data across the bank
- Act as a conduit between technical and business teams to deliver analytics, business strategies, and process improvement:
- Optimise reporting, analysis and modelling to promote sustainable growth of the business by identifying and delivering business improvement processes:
- Provide leadership to the Data & Analytics team
