ING Australia is seeking a Head of Financial Business Advice to lead our Financial Business Advice function within the Finance team in Sydney.
In this senior leadership role, you will partner closely with the CFO, EXCO, Tribe Leads and Heads of Business to drive financial performance, ensure delivery of the Bank's Dynamic Plan, deliver accurate financial forecasts, and provide strategic advice that supports informed decision-making across the organisation.
You will oversee performance reporting, financial planning and forecasting, Balance Sheet, income and expense modelling, and business performance insights. The role requires strong commercial acumen, advanced analytical capability (deep dives, scenario analysis, business cases, benefits realisation), and exceptional stakeholder influence.
You will lead the development and engagement of the Dynamic Plan, Rolling Forecast, provide transparency on key financial drivers, and track performance against plan. This role also carries responsibility for local Board deliverables related to budgeting and planning.

What you'll do - Deep ownership of relationship, understanding of all Finance related topics, and advice tor EXCO and senior management (e.g. Tribe Leads) including but not limited to Balance Sheet, Income and Expense modelling, product profitability and investment allocation and business cases.
- Business Partner providing detailed challenge and advice (deep dives, scenario analysis and ad hoc requests.)
- Total Bank income model, total bank forecasting/DP process, KPI setting & tracking
- Driver based expense modelling driving efficiency and productivity, providing transparency on cost drivers, and expense allocation methodology
- Performance reporting including the adequate segmentation of the business and application of performance measures in its internal performance measurement reporting
- Business Case analysis and approval, and post implementation benefits realisation tracking
What we're looking for - At least 12 years Banking/Financial Services experience
- University Degree and Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant or Certified Financial Analyst
- Demonstrated ability to relate and respond to the operating and bottom-line needs of the business
- 5-10 years of staff management, including management of a team of specialists
- Management accounting standards and principles
- Business analysis methods and techniques
- Retail and commercial banking product characteristics and proposition; Organisational design and process management
- Highly effective delegation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Senior Management and Executives by building and maintaining relationships
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including Executives with appropriate level of detail
- Ability to motivate and lead staff and peers, as well as ability to coach and mentor team members embracing a change agile leadership style
