The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to lead Dexus’s internalised national Office leasing team across NSW, VIC, QLD and WA, and drive outcomes across one of Australia’s most significant commercial office platforms. Reporting to the EGM, Office, you will hold executive accountability for the execution of the leasing program, the leadership of the team, and the commercial relationships that underpin Dexus’s position in core CBD markets.

You will be empowered to shape leasing strategy and partner with Asset Management, Investment Management, and Development to deliver income growth and tenant composition aligned to the Office investment thesis, with direct influence on fund performance and senior visibility to the EGM and investment leadership.

You will make an impact by:

• Leading the execution of the national Office leasing program, including asset-level leasing plans, pipeline sequencing and deal execution across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.
• Building, leading and developing the internalised leasing team, including state-based Leasing Managers, to compete directly with external agencies and manage complex transactions end-to-end.
• Taking a lead role in significant leasing negotiations, renewals and new deals across the platform, including multi-floor transactions and strategic anchor leasing.
• Cultivating deep relationships with tenant representatives, leasing agents and key market intermediaries, positioning Dexus as the preferred partner across core CBD markets.
• Providing strategic leasing input into asset business plans, development feasibilities and capital expenditure decisions, acting as a key adviser to the EGM and Asset Management leadership on income risk and opportunity.

About You

You are a strong communicator who brings good judgement, initiative and a collaborative approach. You are comfortable working with different stakeholders, managing competing priorities and taking ownership of high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. 

You will bring:

• 12+ years of progressive experience in commercial office leasing, tenant advisory or corporate real estate, with a strong track record across major CBD markets including Sydney.

• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing leasing or commercial teams, with the ability to set strategic direction, manage performance and foster a collaborative, results-driven culture.

• Experience working within or alongside an institutional property platform, with an understanding of fund performance metrics, incentive economics and long-term lease structuring.

• Exceptional negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex, multi-party transactions and secure outcomes that balance tenant relationships with fund performance objectives.

• A well-regarded market profile, with established relationships across tenant representatives, leasing agents and corporate occupier networks, and a tertiary qualification in property, commerce, business or a related discipline.
