Head of Marketing

The Role

Fitness Cartel is rapidly growing, and whilst we have many marketing talents, we now have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and highly experienced Head of Marketing to join our Senior Management team. 

In this highly diverse and varied role, you will oversee the marketing and communications of Fitness Cartel Health Clubs, Apparel, Nutrition Cartel, Merse Wellness, and other related businesses, ensuring consistency and synergy of content and messaging across all brands.

You will be primarily based out of our Support Office located in Virginia, QLD.

We have diverse marketing strategies implemented across our brands and as our Head of Marketing, you will be the custodian of these strategies, implementing innovative plans to optimise our marketing campaigns. Adhering to our existing style guides, you will work with our Creative Art Director, Videographer and Photographer consultants whenever needed, to ensure we consistently have on-brand and updated visuals. 

Responsibilities Include: 

• Designing and delivering of engaging campaigns for new memberships, franchising, retail, eCommerce (Fitness Cartel Apparel), Merse Wellness and other sub-brands for mass market saturation;
• Improving current marketing strategies and testing new methods of engagement; 
• Providing relevant tools and mechanics to key managers to ensure the campaigns are executed with maximum efficiency;
• The planning, creation, delivery, and execution of the yearly marketing calendar events across all brands;
• Providing in-depth results reports, including reports on managing and optimising the marketing budget;
• Collaborating closely with executive management to ensure effective marketing campaigns in line with the Fitness Cartel's strategy; 
• Assisting Managers and holding them accountable to performance-driven marketing metrics;
• Conducting regular competitor analysis to ensure the Fitness Cartel group stays ahead of the curve; 
• Project management of Promotions within clubs, managing internal advertising digital boards and external sign boards, and ensuring results-driven adverts are being displayed in a timely fashion; and
• Occasional travel to the different clubs to ensure the consistency of branding & marketing across the board

What you’ll need to succeed

As our Head of Marketing, you will have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in a marketing role preferably leading a team; at least 2 years of experience in the fitness, sport, health, and/or beauty industry; and a thorough understanding of comprehensive marketing strategies including social media, visual advertising, direct marketing, apparel, and B2B marketing. 

In addition:

• Experience with managing marketing budgets, and optimising marketing spending for the largest impact;
• Continuous improvement experience including designing A/B testing strategies to improve marketing campaign performance;
• Strong social media marketing experience, primarily with Meta in organic and sponsored posts;
• Prior experience with EDM and automation; and
• A proven track-record of generating sales leads through marketing strategies.

• A passion for health & fitness and an eagerness to work in the Industry;
• Be reliable, proactive, punctual, professional & well presented;
• Have a strong work ethic;
• Be highly motivated and an adaptable team player, with the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment'
• Have a high degree of computer literacy and ability to learn new systems;
• Have flexibility to travel to different clubs; and
• Hold the right to work in Australia
