We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Head of Marketing to lead and scale our marketing efforts across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region for our products QuickBooks and Mailchimp. This pivotal role is ideal for a proven SaaS marketing leader who has a track record of developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive significant customer and revenue growth.
The Head of Marketing is a key member of the APAC Leadership Team, responsible for all marketing activity across the region. You will be focusing on highly commercial and strategic outcomes for our business and brand, while effectively navigating our complex global matrix organization.
Responsibilities
This role is about setting the strategic vision and executing with excellence across a diverse and high-growth region. You will be instrumental in maximizing the market opportunity across Small and Mid-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
Strategic Marketing Leadership: Own and execute the APAC marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with global product roadmaps and international business goals over a 1-3-year horizon. This requires a deeply strategic approach to channel allocation, market entry, and campaign sequencing;
Global/Matrix Alignment: Serve as the key bridge between the APAC region and global teams. Proactively influence and leverage central resources and best practices while advocating for APAC-specific needs;
Go-to-Market Excellence: Envision and lead powerful go-to-market programs and integrated campaigns that deliver a step-change in growth, supported by clear accountability and best-in-class Marketing Science/Measurement;
Data-Driven Discipline: Build and instill a data-driven, strategic marketing discipline focused on driving measurable business outcomes, including subscription growth and regional pipeline contribution;
Localization & Field Marketing: Strategically adapt global campaigns, messaging, and assets for maximum local market relevance across APAC countries, balancing global efficiency with local impact;
Collaboration: Partner internally and externally across functions to build and execute marketing programs that address commercial, pricing, and brand objectives, requiring proven influence across matrix boundaries;
Inspire World-Class Talent: Attract, lead, and inspire a world-class marketing team in the APAC region that is focused on driving business results;
Organisational Alignment: Align the marketing function with the overall commercial, product, and marketing strategy to ensure the capacity to deliver sustainable business growth; and
Culture & Change: Nurture a high-performance culture that encourages curiosity, embraces ambiguity, and enables all team members to do the best work of their lives.
Qualifications
Global Matrix Experience (Critical): Proven track record (7+ years preferred) in senior marketing strategy at a large, global, matrixed technology/SaaS company with significant exposure to the APAC region. You must demonstrate success in partnering with officers and executives across various global functions;
Strategic Marketing Acumen: Exceptional ability to formulate, articulate, and execute complex, multi-channel marketing strategies that drive sustainable business outcomes across diverse geographies;
B2B/SME Focus: Deep expertise in B2B marketing, with a strong focus on the SME and Mid-Market segments; experience with B2C performance-oriented marketing is a plus;
Product Expertise: Demonstrated success in marketing platform-led businesses, with an ability to apply verticalized marketing approaches to address diverse customer needs. Experience with financial software, small business tools, or marketing automation (like QuickBooks and Mailchimp) is highly desirable;
International Execution: Demonstrated success in leading marketing strategy, plans, and execution that drive measurable business results across multiple APAC countries.
