Job Description - Head of Program Delivery (WA)

About the Opportunity

Based in Henderson (WA) you will be Reporting to the General Manager Program Delivery, the role is accountable for delivering on the execution of the Collin Class Submarine (CCSM) Program Maintenance Availabilities in the Western Australia (WA) facilities. The role will ensure all WA projects within the CCSM program are safely and consistently delivered on schedule and on budget (which will total in excess of $120M PA); the key outcome will be to enable consistent and reliable performance which manages risk and develops trust internally with the business and externally with our customer.

This role will operate within the ASC Matrix Organisation to elicit the company wide collaboration required to deliver on the portfolio of Maintenance Availabilities including the implementation of the numerous Capability Upgrades that are part of the Collins lifecycle to ensure it remains regionally relevant.

Responsibilities

Ensure projects are safely delivered in the program Integrated Master schedule (IMS) and the individual project management baselines for cost (EVMS), schedule and quality.

Contribute to internal and external Program reporting, including preparation of Chairman’s Reports, and track internal KPIs to inform Collins Program Performance

Develop and maintain the cost baseline for Maintenance Availabilities in consultation with the MCS PMO team.

Manage monthly internal and external reporting and variance analysis.

Ensure risks to Program delivery are continually reviewed and managed to closure by project owners.

Contribute to the Collins Class Sustainment Master Schedules in line with the High-Level Work Plan (HLWP) in consultation with the MCS PMO team.

About You

Tertiary qualification in Project Management, engineering, business, management or related field.

Advanced skills and experience in the full range of project management services

Minimum 7 years’ experience in a senior project management/planning role, preferably in Defence / shipbuilding sector, with a focus on submarine sustainment

Strong proficiency in sustainment including FCD, MCD, ID, SMP and IMP (Desirable)

Strong analytic skills and attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to plan large scale complex projects ideally within the maritime industry.

Demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams in complex environments.

Ability to set priorities and achieve deadlines within a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
