About the role
Reporting to and working closely with the Managing Director, the newly created Head of Sales focuses on managing and growing the sales function, leading tender responses, strategic business development and maintaining relationships with key clients. The Head of Sales ensures projects are scoped, designed and commissioned in line with key client needs, including developing pricing strategies and project cost estimates. This includes crafting solutions to multiple internal and external stakeholders, working closely with engineers, contractors, state and local governments. Key to success will be the appointee’s ability to develop and maintain executive level business relationships with new and existing customers within large organisations, and consistently providing innovative solutions and exceptional customer service.
About you
Tertiary qualified in Business, Marketing or Engineering, you are a polished commercial business development professional with a high degree of technical aptitude and the ability to navigate complex tender requirements. You are an engaging and empathetic leader with experience in building teams from foundation stages while establishing effective relationships with commercial and government clients. Industry experience in engineering, transport, mechanical/electronic or digital services would be highly advantageous. This role is tailored toward a high energy, high performing technical business development leader with the passion and drive needed to build and shape a market-leading team.
