About the organisation
The Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI) is a major training provider for the automotive, health and nursing sectors, and indigenous education. With over 30,000 enrolments each year, BKI has a strong presence in a range of industries such as fashion, business as well as justice and legal and has developed a market leading industry partnership model. They aim to empower people and industry as a leading educator and trainer in work and life skills, making a real difference for students and industry across the communities they serve. About the role
The Head of Student Support and Success is responsible for providing strategic direction and operational management of the Student Services function. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role leads the design, implementation and monitoring of all initiatives aimed at enhancing the student experience. Collaborating closely with other senior leaders across both service and teaching portfolios, the role ensures that student service capabilities are integrated into delivery areas to maximise reach and impact. This position and leads all support services available to students, working to identify and reduce barriers to access and completion of their education. About you
As a seasoned leader with a background ideally in the education sector or a related field, you excel in balancing strategic vision with effective operational management to drive outcomes and lay the groundwork for future success. Your approach is highly collaborative and people-focused, demonstrating strong skills in influencing, negotiating, and managing change to meet the needs of both learners and the organisation. As an inspirational leader, you are adept at navigating the challenges of providing customer service to vulnerable groups while maintaining high team morale.
