About the roleAs Head of Supply Chain & Operations you will have end to end responsibility and will lead teams across planning, supplier management, logistics and production management. Core focus of the role will be to ensure an effective integrated supply chain, through optimisation of inventory and completion of a pending warehouse move, along with a network assessment to evaluate best future state of the operation.
Key Responsibilities• Management of a dedicated team across planning, warehousing and logistics, customer service, continuous improvement and production management
• Implementation of an S&OP process, to complement a recently implemented ERP tool, and one that meets both effective planning and fill rate performance objectives
• Identification of initiatives to reduce cost and improve efficiency, including engagement with both external suppliers, and internal teams as part of a partially vertically integrated supply chain
• Developing the business case for future investment within downstream operations
Skills and ExperienceThe preferred candidate will be an executive level supply chain leader who has strengths within planning and inventory management, along with a track record in end to end ownership including some experience in managing in house production. The role would best suit a hands on leader, who has a passion for people development, along with a an ability to drive enhancement to improve business performance. Priority focus will be on candidates with experience in the hardware / building products sector.
