Reporting to the Director, Strategy Implementation and Engagement, this Manager role will lead high-quality monitoring, evaluation and population health initiatives across the organisation. The role focuses on translating data and insights into practical recommendations that guide commissioning, and organisational decision-making.
You will work closely with the analytical and evaluations teams as well as senior leaders to ensure population health intelligence and evaluation findings inform future planning and frameworks. This is a hands-on role that will suit a data-driven leader with strong health and evaluation background, and a passion for applying insights to drive continuous improvement and better community health outcomes.
Your responsibilities:
Lead population health planning, evaluation, and performance reporting across commissioned programs
Liaise and work closely with internal teams to design evaluation frameworks, complete written outputs and translate data into actionable recommendations
Drive improvement in systems, processes, and organisational capability to enable robust
Lead the development and application of Health Needs Assessment (HNA) to guide commissioning and organisational priorities
Work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure monitoring, evaluation, and population health activities are relevant, practical, and actionable.
Provide actionable insights that inform commissioning decisions and support continuous improvement
Ideally you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in public health, epidemiology, evaluation, health economics, or other related areas.
Extensive experience in monitoring, evaluation, and population health planning, ideally in the health or community services sector.
Strong skills in data analysis, interpretation, and translating insights into practical recommendations.
Demonstrated experience with Health Needs Assessments and using population health intelligence to inform commissioning.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
