About the opportunity

Werribee Mercy Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Health Information Manager with a passion for coding, and statutory reporting, to join our Health Information Service team based at our Werribee campus.

• Ensure completion of monthly ICD-10-AM coding within set deadlines using 3M Australia Grouping and Coding Applications software.

• Participate in quality management activities aimed at improving HIS service, systems and procedures.

• Preparation and submission of statutory data reporting on a rotational basis.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent with eligibility for full HIMAA Membership.

• Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10-AM coding.

• Proven organisational and time management skills.

• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office suite experience, 3M Australia Grouping and Coding Application software and Patient & Client Management System (PCMS) exposure.

• Experience with statutory data reporting, Inc VAED, VEMD, or VINAH.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
