About the Opportunity
Piacentini & Son are seeking experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisors with a passion for enhancing a safe and healthy work environment for several iconic projects across Western Australia with a variety of lifestyle rosters to suit.
About the Role
As an HSE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce. Your responsibilities will include:
- Development, coordination and monitoring of the company safety policy, programs and procedures
- Ensure consultative mechanisms are developed and that consultation is occurring between management and employees
- Evaluation of safety products and personal protective equipment which are used within the organisation
- Job Hazard Analysis and safe working procedure development
- Consult / advise to senior management
- Conduct investigations and analysis of incidents, first aid, hazard and accident reports, to identify root causes and trends
- Monitor and keep up to date with Legislative requirements and OSH literature relevant to the company operations
- Induction of manager, supervisors and employees as to the company safety management systems
- Development and coordination of OHS training programs for all employees
- Keep organisational HSE records and statistics
- Periodic auditing of HSE management systems
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Diploma and/or Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, or equivalent
- ICAM Lead Investigator Training (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience of five years or more in a similar role
- First Aid Certificate (Senior or above)
- Class C driver’s license Current drivers’ license
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
- A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
- Familiarity with WA safety regulations and industry best practices
