Heavy Diesel Fitter - Callide Mine (Biloela)

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team.

This opportunity as a qualified and experienced HD Fitter will see you in the Australian operation working at the Callide Mine, near Biloela in Queensland.

About the role:

• Experience working with large earth moving equipment.

• Experience completing required safety duties such as job inspections, JSA’s and SLAM’s.

• Proven strong commitment to Health and Safety and communicate any safety or maintenance issues.

• Excellent diagnostic, fault finding, trouble shooting and preventative maintenance skills.

• You can complete work tasks within set timeframes.

• You are a team player, while at the same time being proactive and able to work autonomously.

• You have a recognised Australian trade certificate.

To be successful you will have:

• Experience in the mining industry with exposure to Mining Maintenance (heavy machinery & equipment).

• Certificate III in Diesel Fitting Technology (Engineering).

• High Risk Work Licenses (EWP, Forklift, Overhead Gantry Crane, Non Slew Crane, Vehicle loading crane, Dogging, Rigging).

• Nationally recognised certificates for Enter and work in confined space, Gas test atmospheres, Work safely at heights (Current within the last 2 years).

• First Aid Certificate.

• Current Australian Open Drivers Licence.

• You are willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and random drug and alcohol screening.

• Current S11.

• QLD Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme Assessment or willingness to complete along with a Pre-Employment Medical.
