Job Description - Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Parins is a renowned brand in the heavy vehicle smash repair industry and is a division under AMA Group - Heavy Motors. Parins has been known around Perth for being ‘Built on Quality’ for over 50 years: The 5-acre covered site is purpose-built for heavy vehicle repairs, with 28 truck bays and 7 trailer bays in the mechanical workshop, 8 panel shop bays, and 5 paint shop bays with 2 large spray booths built specifically for Heavy Vehicles — all kept in pristine condition.

 The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join the team at Parins in Malaga.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy vehicles, to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise in diesel engines, mechanical systems, and diagnostics will contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Role responsibilities

  • Diagnose damaged suspension parts and mechanical components
  • Dismantle and fit new mechanical and suspension parts
  • Quality control and inspection of vehicles
  • Test driving vehicles to ensure they meet quality repair standards
  • Carry out system updates to diagnostic computers
  • Label parts and store as per Workshop standards and procedures
  • Check new parts are correct and undamaged
  • Perform any adaptations based on completed diagnoses
  • Clean work bay and workshop areas
