The successful candidate will be the first point of contact providing client support for service requests and technical issues to users across multiple locations, within Australia and New Zealand.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support via phone, email and in person.
  • Maintain Windows Desktop OS
  • Maintain Windows Servers & associated systems to ensure maximum system reliability & compliance
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base, including inventories of issued equipment and system access rights.
  • Be proactive and troubleshoot a variety of technical issues across a range of technologies
  • Manage and maintain Windows and Mac computers.

 

Qualifications & experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in managing and administering Windows Server environments, including AD, RDS, DHCP, DNS, GPOs, File Servers and Printers.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
  • Familiar with server racks, installation of network equipment, and cable management.
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
