Our Client is seeking a talented and experienced FHIR HL7 Architect/Engineer to join their dynamic team and help shape the future of healthcare.

Job Description: As an FHIR Architect / Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards within our healthcare solutions. You will work closely with our product development and engineering teams to ensure creation, development, management and support of open data exchange standards and capabilities to meet the current and future needs for Australia’s health system.

You can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane and you can chose to take a permanant opportunity or contract based

Key Responsibilities:

FHIR Implementation : Lead the implementation of FHIR standards, ensuring compliance with the latest HL7 standards and regulations.

Architecture Design : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect FHIR solutions that meet the specific needs of our healthcare products.

Data Mapping : Develop and maintain data mapping processes to enable the exchange of healthcare information between systems in a structured and standardized way.

Interoperability : Promote FHIR-based interoperability and work towards data consistency across different healthcare applications and systems.

Security and Compliance : Ensure that FHIR implementations are secure and compliant with healthcare data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

Documentation : Create and maintain detailed documentation of FHIR implementations, data models, and API specifications.

Integration Testing : Collaborate with testing teams to validate the functionality and interoperability of FHIR interfaces.

Training : Provide training and support to internal teams and external clients on FHIR standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience with FHIR standards and HL7 protocols.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing FHIR solutions within the healthcare domain.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability and data exchange standards.
• Experience with healthcare data security and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in healthcare IT (e.g., Python, Java).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Certification in FHIR is a plus.
