The opportunity

The Service Manager is responsible for leading and operating the service and managing all the key programs of the service. This will be in accordance with regulatory requirements and the strategic directions, goals, and policies of UPA. 

The Service Manager works under the direction of the Operations Lead and Director of Home Care and carries responsibility for the overall development and performance of the service set by UPA.

The role

As the Service Manager, you will:

• Operate the Home Care region within the context of legislative requirements, State and Federal government regulations and directives. 
• Demonstrate that appropriate and effective systems are in place to monitor and manage risk, including through systematic review.
• Develop and implement strategies for the resolution of potential high-risk management and high-prevalence Work Health and Safety issues.
• Facilitate the provision of development opportunities to improve team performance.
• Regularly review audit results to identify areas of concern or improvement, using data trending evidence.
• Provide monthly budget and reporting of actual spends against budget with detailed notes on the variances.

About you

• A minimum of 3 years Healthcare experience at a senior level, preferably in Home Care or Community service design.
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements related to Aged Care.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of aged care funding, and/or experience in budget management and cost control. 
• Well-developed analytical and conceptual abilities.  
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work according to strict guidelines and an eye for detail.
