Hornby Transport Services is seeking drivers to fill  local HC/MC tipper roles within the business. Working with a modern fleet and state of the art technology, you will be a part of Hornby Transport Services commitment to safety, sustainability, and efficiency.

What does the job look like?

The job involves operating semi tippers to deliver freight to and from Sydney, Newcastle and rural areas. This is a Monday to Friday position with some overtime Saturdays as required. Penalties paid on all overtime hours.

Key areas:

• Participating and committing to safety standards and COR requirements at all times
• Must have road ranger experience
• Operating Semi Trailer configurations to safely deliver various freight to our customers in a safe and timely manner
• Daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment
• Complying with the HTS Operations, Policies and Procedures
• Managing fatigue in line with relevant fatigue guidelines

Are you the one?

You will have an impeccable safety record, with at relevant experience driving heavy vehicles. You can demonstrate:

• A commitment to safety in everything you do
• Good understanding of load restraint
• The ability to safely manage your fatigue
• High-quality customer service and communication skills
• Experience with or willingness to learn in-cab technology
• Positions based out of Newcastle and Wollongong.

Further information

You will be required to meet Hornby Transport Services employment criteria which will include, but not be limited to, a driver history check and full pre employment, medical which includes a drug and alcohol test.
