Hospital Provider Relations Officer
  
This position reports to the Benefits Assurance Manager and is responsible for the administration and management of agreements for our Hospital and Medical providers.
  
This is a diverse role incorporating all aspects of health fund contracts administration, management, analysis, auditing support, continuous improvement, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.  This role provides high level support to the hospital and medical claims functions by ensuring all relevant information is available for the correct assessment of claims.

Who are we?

How will you help?
  • Day to day administration and management of hospital and medical agreements.
  • Manage administration of Second Tier arrangements, minimum default benefits and nursing home benefits.
  • Manage the maintenance and system updates of various item codes.
  • Manage updates to hospital and medical provider details including changes to bank account and other billing contact details.
  • Educate staff on important changes to hospital contracts, AHSA & PHI communications and associated legislative changes
  • Management of hospital products clinical categories lists
  • Participate in AHSA, PHI and other industry updates and forums
  • Prepare timely and accurate data analysis and reports
  • Other tasks integral to the correct assessment of Hospital and Medical claims.
  
What do you need?
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital contracting, hospital administration or hospital claims management experience (or equivalent)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Demonstrated understanding of Hospital Purchaser Provider Agreements (HPPA) and associated regulatory requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
  • Highly organised and effective time management skills
  • High level communication skills, both written and interpersonal.
  • Proven ability to build and manage effective relationships with stakeholders.
