Housekeeping Team Leader - Energetic Workplace

Quest Collingwood is a new hotel due to opened in March 2023 in the heart of Collingwood. Just moments away from Melbourne CBD and the MCG, the hotel is easily accessible by public transport. Quest Collingwood is now recruiting for a full time Housekeeping Team Leader to join its opening team.

The Role

Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, this role is responsible for leading all aspects of Housekeeping in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor with a hands-on approach.

The Housekeeping Team Leader role includes setting up daily responsibilities, assigning room cleaning tasks, managing linen and housekeeping stock requirements, and proactively making operational improvements to ensure the smooth delivery of housekeeping services to our guests. The Housekeeping Team Leader will also assist in cleaning rooms and Public areas with the Housekeeping Team, ensuing a balanced approach for all.

This is role will work closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure that the high standards of Brand and Cleanliness are maintained for the hotel. 

The Ideal Candidate

Will demonstrate a helpful, proactive leadership style, leading by example and developing individuals to ensure the success of the team and a positive work environment.

A flexible approach to work, excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills, experience with housekeeping systems, a keen eye for detail, high standards of personal presentation, a highly team orientated ethos, and a strong respect for workplace health and safety. 

Previous experience in a hotel or accommodation Housekeeping is essential for this role, and leadership experience will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant must be available to work shifts Monday to Friday, Weekends & Public Holidays, and have entitlements to work in Australia.
