The Opportunity

Finding people who are a good fit for our studio is important to us. This position offers a truly exciting opportunity for a dedicated, innovative, and experienced HR Professional eager to embrace a stand-alone role and make a significant contribution. This is a genuine generalist role, providing comprehensive HR support across the studio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the full employee lifecyle and manage end to end activities such as HRIS systems administration, recruitment, selection and induction, staff relations, remuneration and benefits administration, performance management, health, safety, and wellbeing.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining company policies and best practice procedures, systems, and processes for related activities to support business success.
  • Ensuring all company HR & OHS policies and procedures are compliant, up to date and reflect best practice and the current legislation. Ensure all staff understand and have agreed to follow HR & OHS Policies and procedures.
  • Managing all HR compliance related matters and provide advice to the organisation on employment relations issues.
  • Using knowledge of the human resource lifecycle, including recruitment and retention, compensation, training, and employee relations to provide tactical HR support to line managers.
  • Assisting Managers in the six monthly review process and ensure all staff reviews have been performed and signed off in a timely manner.
  • Managing the OH&S function
  • Assisting in workforce planning activities, including analysing staffing needs, talent gaps, and recommending strategies
  • Identifying, designing, or recommending new approaches, initiatives, policies, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and positive, high performing workplace culture
  • HR projects as required

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience.
  • Experience in the interior design or architecture industry would be highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR practices.
  • A highly developed understanding of the HR lifecycle.
  • A strong business acumen with the ability navigate a changing environment
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all organisational levels.
  • Strong influencing and coaching skills with the ability to assist leaders and managers to resolve workplace issues and concerns.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Well-developed problem solving and decision making aptitude.
  • A can do positive attitude, with a strong desire to grow and develop.
