Our Staff Operations team are currently looking for an HR & Payroll Project Support to join the team. This role will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation and administration of payroll, HR systems, and employee lifecycle processes.
Other aspects of this role include:
HRIS Implementation
Provide HRIS support during the transition to the new system, troubleshooting issues as needed
Transfer and systematically organise HRIS data into SharePoint
Set up a structured SharePoint Library for HR documentation, ensuring accessibility and version control
Configure and optimise LMS workflows on the new HRIS system
Develop and implement an updated and user-friendly staff intranet
Create comprehensive training resources for the new HRIS, including Help Sheets and FAQs for employees and People Leaders
Develop and execute a structured training plan for implementation rollout to People Leaders and all staff
Payroll System Implementation
Provide payroll support during the transition to the new system, troubleshooting issues as needed
Build rosters within new Payroll software, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Set up payroll related documents, including copying across multiple entities while maintaining data integrity
Manage and validate historical payroll data for migration
Import existing payroll balances into new system with attention to accuracy and reconciliation
Assist with the configuration and validation of the Chart of Accounts for payroll processing
HR Support
Review and enhance orientation and onboarding frameworks, including:
Updates to the Employee Handbook
Standardisation and simplification of employment contracts
Ongoing refinement of Position Descriptions
Document and maintain a comprehensive Work Instructions Library for HR and Payroll processes
Assist with the planning, development and execution of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) initiatives
Payroll Support
Manage Payroll inboxes and respond to enquiries
Maintain payroll systems, incl. updating reporting lines and processing non-payroll-related system changes
Follow up on People Leader leave and timesheet approvals
Collate data for audits and reporting (e.g. WGEA compliance, Finance audits, Workers' Compensation)
Facilitate award-based event payroll communication (Staff Camp, Hillsong Conference)
Conduct award time-keeping audits
Provide payroll assistance and training for People Leaders, ensuring proficiency in the relevant payroll system
Ideally, the successful candidate will bring:
2-3 years administration experience in a support project role desired
General understanding of Payroll and HR processes
Experience with HRIS and payroll system implementation and management preferred
Demonstrated experience in payroll processing, compliance, and reporting.
Familiarity with recruitment processes, onboarding, and employee lifecycle administration.
