Your Organisation

This organisation are a farmer-owned producer within the agricultural and meat production sector who foster a friendly and dedicated working environment.

Your Role

Joining an HR team of 5, your role as HR Officer is to be the first point of contact for general HR queries and triage matters to the relevant HR Advisor or Business Partner. You will also provide the team with HR administrative support as well as assist in various HR projects.

This role has become vacant due to an internal promotion and will be appointed on either a temporary, temp-to-perm or permanent basis, commencing as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Head of HR, your duties may include:
  • Ownership of the HR inbox and answering or escalating HR queries via email or phone;
  • Standing as the first point of contact for general HR-related queries and providing a customer-centric, helpful service to the organisation’s employees and managers;
  • Liaising with the HR Advisors, Business Partners and Head of HR regarding escalated matters as well as actions and communication to be provided to relevant stakeholders;
  • Assisting with processing employee changes and documentation including drafting and issuing letters and updating relevant systems and departments including payroll, IT, accounts etc;
  • Assisting in promoting and monitoring adherence to HR policies and processes and relevant legislation across the organisation;
  • Playing a pivotal role in administering various HR projects such as assisting with communications, record management and representing HR at company initiatives;
  • Undertaking employee onboarding and offboarding processes including system updates, notifications and documentation;
  • Providing HR data, metrics and reporting as required;
  • Handling queries and information with a high level of confidentiality.

If you are looking for development, this role is for you. Throughout your dealings between employees, managers and your HR colleagues, you will be given exposure to HR practices that will set you up to move into an Advisor or BP level down the track.

About You

You will be a self-driven and people-centric administrator with a minimum of 12 months experience in an HR Administrator or Coordinator/Officer capacity.

You must have a basic understanding of human resources practices within Australia and ideally have studied at Diploma or Bachelor Degree level.
