Job Description - HR Generalist

About the Company

A global air & gas engineering and manufacturing firm is recruiting for an experienced HR Generalist. Based in their Norwest office in the Hills District, this role works closely with the team of c100 in Australia. The key stakeholders are largely based in Sydney and the role will be working closely with the Managing Director.

About the Role

This a broad generalist HR role providing guidance and coaching on the fill employee lifecycle including compensation & benefits, recruitment, employee development, L&D and workforce planning.The main responsibilities include:

  • Being the trusted advisor to the business on all HR related matters
  • Running day-to-day HR Operations including talent acquisition including on-boarding, headcount reporting, HR policies reviews and updates, talent management data recording, employee relations, and data analytics/audits
  • Identifying and facilitating ER & IR issues
  • Managing and overseeing HR related compliance, policies and regulatory changes
  • Ensuring the employee data is up to date
  • Contributing and/or leading on various change and OD initiatives collaborating with the global HR team and the business effectively
  • Champion employee engagement activities
  • Understand business challenges and industry trends to provide creative and relevant solutions around things like talent and employee engagement.
  • About You

    This is a great opportunity for a confident and commercial HR Generalist who is comfortable working in a stand-alone capacity. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience ideally in an Industrial or Engineering environment
  • In depth knowledge of Australian Employment law
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working with limited direction
  • This a 6-month contract role paying c$150,000 – $160,000 + super depending on experience. Starting ASAP. The role is hybrid with an expectation to be in the office 3 days a week.
