Good Shepherd Lodge LTD is currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. To be successful for this role, you will have a solid background in HR, strong leadership skills and the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions based on the core values of their company. You must possess good communication skills, be honest, reliable, hardworking and have pride in the quality of your work.

The duties of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and culture
  • Supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and sustainment of human resources
  • Developing a Strategic Workforce Plan with supporting Annual Staffing Plans aligned with the budget
  • Leading the development, management, and review of HR policies, processes, and procedures in collaboration with senior leaders
  • Providing expert workplace relations advice and guidance on all people related matters
  • Guiding senior leaders in the management of employee relations and associated matters
  • Supporting staff to achieve best professional practice with items related to mediation, disciplinary action, informal and formal grievances, delegating it to line managers as required.
  • Leading EBA renewals and providing expert support and advice to the Executive Management for EBA drafting, negotiations, and interpretations
  • Managing the staff exit process
  • Leading and overseeing the staff onboarding and induction processes
  • Managing the daily approach to HR matters across the whole of the organisation, both personally and indirectly through other HR staff and/or senior leaders
  • Coaching and supporting line and middle managers in relation to HR procedures and processes
  • Nurturing a positive working culture
  • Managing a performance management system that drives high performance
  • Supporting line managers to lead performance management processes
  • Leading the implementation and management of HRIS and rostering systems
  • Providing decision support to the Executive Team through HR metrics and analytics
  • Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Ensuring staff health, safety, and wellness through policies, processes, and procedures in collaboration with senior leaders
  • Assessing staff training, learning, and professional development needs and monitor delivery against those needs

The HR Manager works closely with the CEO and leadership team to deliver the HR functions that underpin the success of the business. 

To be considered for this role, you will have: 

  • Human Resource degree qualification or equivalent
  • Experience as a Human Resources Advisor/Business Partner with a demonstrated background in employment relations and industrial relations
  • Demonstrated capability in coaching and influencing leaders to be the best they can be
  • A pragmatic approach to HR service delivery inclusive of a professional pursuit of excellence
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insights from HR and WH&S metrics to inform business decision making
  • Minimum Cert IV in Workplace Health & Safety or the ability to undertake the Certificate
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft products
  • National Police Check or ability to obtain
