About the Role
This role is a stand-alone role that will work alongside the Founder and Directors, will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources including building on the HR Strategy, recruitment approach, employee relations, and performance management. You will bring your blue collar background, interpreting awards and legislation, and foster a positive work culture. Additionally, you will lead initiatives related to employee engagement, compliance, training, and  development to enhance the overall effectiveness and success of the workforce.
  
YOU will:

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives tailored to the unique needs of the construction staffing industry.
• Assist with the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Administer employee benefits programs and manage compensation processes.
• Facilitate training and development programs to enhance the skills and performance.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR metrics to support decision-making and reporting.
• Be a team player and collaborate with management to address staffing needs, forecast future requirements, and support strategic initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven work experience as an HR Manager.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Relatable, with interpersonal skills, and ability to build rapport and trust with all you work with.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications.
• A customer centricity to grow and build a business alongside a great team.
