About the role:

We are seeking a HRIS Specialist to join the National People & Culture Team. The newly created role that reports directly into the Chief People Officer, will be a fundamental part of the P&C Team to ensure that our People systems are set up for success, maintained and are purpose fit for the business.

This role would be a perfect opportunity for a People & Culture generalist who has proven experience with, and an aptitude for implementing People Systems (HRIS, HCM, Payroll, T&A) within large organizations. The successful candidate will participate in the project implementation of the HCM by working closely with the vendor, the PMO team and key stakeholders within Hungry Jack’s.

During and following the implementation of the HCM system, the HRIS Specialist will continue to work on developing and improving business processes to enhance the user experience whilst serving as the specialist/superuser. The role will be responsible for revising policies and processes that ensure the best possible end-user experience, data integrity, consistency, and efficiency of operation.

Key Responsibilities:

System Implementation –

• (SME) for the P&C team for the HCM Project implementation and on-going utilization of the system (Workday)
• Working to ensure best practice processes, workflows, and dependencies within our People systems are fit for purpose
• Working with the relevant teams to ensure that high quality data input including management of data cleansing and creating user test case scenarios and participate in the system UAT to ensure optimal functionality
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a quality configuration and functionality of the HCM that supports legislative and industrial compliance

People Systems Superuser/Administrator -

• Providing frequent and clear communication when necessary regarding the status of initiatives, keeping stakeholders informed of changes and work that is in progress in relation to the implementation of the HCM
• Support with system upgrades, influencing enhancements, testing implementations, and effectively communicating changes within the team to gain buy-in
• Provide consistent day-to-day support for the system, ensuring its smooth operation and addressing any issues promptly
• First point of contact for general troubleshooting from Senior Managers within the organisation

Learning & Development -

• Working closely with the L&D Team and any relevant vendors, ensuring that development and updates of workbooks, technical application instructions and reference guides to reflect any People System changes/enhancements
• Assist with the developing training curriculum and conduct formal and informal People Systems training sessions as required

Change Management -

• Responsible for the change management of the HCM implementation project by overseeing and implementing change internally across the business
• Designing and establishing a structured approach to be followed for change to ensure that employees and managers have the necessary tools and resources to adapt to change

Generalist People & Culture Support –

• In consultation with the CPO, provide support by updating, and writing Policies, Procedures, and Position Descriptions as required
• Provide ad hoc support concerning Generalist People & Culture duties

About you:

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, or related fields
• Demonstrated experience/exposure with HRIS/HCM systems, ideally Workday
• Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, principles and workflows
• Genuine career interest in HR Systems and HR processes
• Work in a timely and organised manner with clear and concise communications to ensure that stakeholders are informed
• Willingness and ability to support users of the system
• Understanding concepts of data management and interdependencies in creating an end-to-end HRIS/HCM solution
