About this opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and proactive HSES professional to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact by connecting site-level operations with divisional and group-level HSES initiatives. You’ll play a key role in implementing our Group HSES Systems while ensuring compliance with all relevant Australian health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.

This position supports two of our sites – Wacol & Sumner park

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Provide expert guidance and support to both management and team members on all HSES matters.
• Lead thorough and timely incident investigations, ensuring compliance with Australian legislative requirements.
• Stay up to date with changes in legislation and industry standards, updating policies and procedures accordingly.
• Design and deliver engaging training programs to build awareness and capability in HSES practices across the workforce.

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

• Proven experience in HSES management within a manufacturing or industrial environment in Australia.
• Strong knowledge of Australian HSES legislation and best practices.
• Analytical thinking and the ability to interpret data to drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the confidence to lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation methodologies.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Sustainability, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety is highly regarded.
• Additional training or certifications aligned with Australian manufacturing standards (e.g., WHS Act, AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018) are advantageous.
