HR & WHS Officer/Manager
Three (3) year contract position
Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council (WBACC) is a corporate commonwealth entity which was established by the Aboriginal Land Grant (Jervis Bay Territory) Act 1986. Council receives grant monies and commercial income and has various functions including land holding and management, provision of community services and business enterprises.
WBACC invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for our Human Resources & Work Health Safety Officer/Manager (HR & WHS Manager) position.
We are looking for an energetic, experienced, and committed people and workplace safety manager who wants to make an impact in a dynamic and challenging environment. WBACC is a unique organisation located in the beautiful Booderee National Park in Jervis Bay.
The WBACC HR & WHS Manager is responsible for providing professional high level and operational advice and support to WBACC on all matters relating to HR, employment relations and the health and safety of staff and visitors including developing and managing policies, systems and processes. This position reports directly to the WBACC CEO.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all people/human resource matters: recruitment, development, all employment relations matters, policies and practices, meet staffing needs to fulfil all WBACC contract requirements, ensure compliance & governance standards are met, training, management of WHS-Comcare claims, reporting and management of relevant systems and records.
