Job Description - Human Resources Business Partner - Exciting Challenge

  • Full-time permanent position located in Macquarie Park NSW. 
  • Partner with the executive team and internal managers to improve local HR process and support the business growth. 
  • Full-range generalist position that gives you the opportunity to partner with a range of stakeholders across the business whilst remaining hands-on.  

THE OPPORTUNITY 

Reporting to the Group COO, the Human Resources Business Partner will focus on delivering key HR processes for our Client within the Health Care Industry. This role is perfect for a generalist looking to strengthen their experience in an innovative and dynamic Company. This opportunity is perfect for a capable HR professional that is looking to partner with leaders and make key decisions regarding HR responsibilities, projects and processes. Balancing the day-to-day people and culture needs with proactive and ad-hoc project work, the HRBP will work across a wide range of tasks that are both administrative and strategic in nature.  

This broad role will support the business across recruitment and onboarding, HR documentation and employment relations administration, performance management, role and organisational design, talent management, engagement, culture and employee wellbeing. 

This person will be responsible for: 

  • Managing the daily HR and culture tasks whilst also partnering with the leadership team to propose and enact required changes to process or policies.  
  • Being able to identify value-add changes and project work. Proposing suggested changes to management with a business plan and supporting information.  
  • Supporting and facilitating recruitment processes, including the management of agency partners. 
  • Supporting the onboarding process across the business and ensuring proper and engaging induction plans are completed.
  • Ensure accurate employee documentation and records are maintained. 
  • Advising and partnering with business leaders to support them in managing their teams in partnership with outsourced HR assistance from Partale.
  • Ensuring HR policies, procedures and other HR documents are up to date and reflect the culture. 
  • Become the subject matter expert for the HRIS, ELMO. 
  • Supporting leaders in managing performance and conduct issues and facilitate the companies WHS responsibilities.
  • Remain abreast of relevant industrial instruments and ensure the business meets its obligations as an employer. 
  • Managing annual HR processes, such as job description reviews, performance review and rem review cycles. 
  • Building strong and meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Established in 1998, our client is Sydney’s largest independent provider of Specialist Pathology services incorporating the highest standards and ethics in the context of a fully independent, accredited laboratory. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED  

To be successful at Histopath and in this role, you will need to be open, communicative, driven and able to proactively identity areas of improvement across a broad HR remit. Importantly, the successful candidate will have a personable, energetic and bubbly personality and character that will assist them in building quality and lasting stakeholder relationships.  The key to being effective in this role is to be solutions-focused and hands-on across the business.

 

  • Prior and applicable experience in similar HR positions with sound understanding of employment legislation, modern awards and employment contracts. 
  • An ability to champion a change that you would like to see in the business. Be able to present a project, imitative, idea or process change to the executive leadership team with confidence. This includes having the ability to strategically think through the idea and have completed a deep-thinking exercise prior to proposing and presenting it.  
  • Experience in supporting leaders with role design, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.  
  • Strong ability to support managers and partner with them whilst they navigate a variety of people and culture matters.  
  • Prior experience using ELMO HRIS, or a similar system is highly preferred.  
  • Comfort in analysing data and working with numbers as it relates to remuneration review activities.  
  • Strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to the role.
