Job Description - Human Resources Officer

About EPSA:

We are a global family-owned business with over 60 years in the mining, civil and earth moving industry operating in several countries throughout the world.

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team.

About the role: 

  • Reporting to the HR Superintendent, you will support the HR function on Site, including administration of the employee life cycle - recruitment, onboarding, performance management, offboarding and compliance. 

  • In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring all payroll enquiries are managed within a timely manner in conjunction with the Site Administrators.

  • With the support of the HR Superintendent, development and documentation of processes and supporting tools, including forms, process maps, policies and guidelines, to contribute to HR efficiencies and the provision of effective tools to stakeholders. 

  • Other duties as directed by the HR Superintendent and Project Manager. 

About you: 

  • 2-3 years Human Resources experience. 

  • Excellent customer service and support skills with an understanding of the delivery of timely and accurate advice. 

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Teams). 

  • Exceptional attention to detail. 

  • Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage time and plan work to meet deadlines. 

  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team as well as the ability to exercise independence and judgement where required. 

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with a diverse range of clients and respond positively when resolving issues. 

  • Champion the organisation’s vision and values through example setting, professional behaviour and high standards of work. 

  • Must have a current Standard 11, current Coal Board Medical and willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical.
