About the role

We are looking for an organised multitasker to jump in and support the HR function. While you may be a recent graduate, your phenomenal administration skills and eagerness to learn all things HR will see you excel in this position. The role has a particular focus on recruitment, employment screening, and general HR administration. 

With a workforce of 160 employees across three locations (Wollongong, Nowra and Kempsey) this position will be fast paced and varied, with endless opportunities for the right candidate to grow with the company. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Onboarding new employees
  • Monitoring compliance documents
  • Recruitment activities
  • Workers insurance claims administration and monitoring of return to work plans
  • General HR administration
  • Staff communications and follow up
  • Contributions to special HR projects, programs, and training

About you

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in administration
  • Understanding of modern awards and Fair Work legislation
  • Exceptional computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • High level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to work confidently and courteously with people at all levels
  • Ability to work independently as well as the capacity to work effectively in a team
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to work, health and safety requirements
  • NDIS worker screening check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

  • Previous recruitment experience
  • Understanding of the SCHADS Award
  • Industry experience
