About the Role

We’re seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Electrician to join our elite team across multiple BHP Sites located in the Bowen Basin. In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise to complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all electric heavy machinery while working on a 7/7 rotating roster. We offer FIFO options from Brisbane, Cairns, or Townsville, as well as BIBO/DIDO to the Bowen Basin.

Your role will involve, but is not limited to:

• Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on heavy surface mining equipment.


• Diagnosing faults and conducting repairs and servicing on equipment.


• Supporting continuous improvement through procedure updates and root cause analysis.


• Contributing to a safe and collaborative team environment.

About You

• Australian recognised Trade qualification Electrician.


• High Voltage Switching Operations certificate (desirable).


• Prior exposure to mining or similar heavy industries (preferred).


• Letourneau and Komatsu experience (highly regarded).


• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.


• A strong commitment to safety.


• Willing to work a 7/7 rotating day-night roster.
