Hydraulic Sales & Service Technician 

Location: Perth & Mackay

Salary Range: $40 - $50 per hour
 
Position Objective:
To manage a service vehicle, respond to breakdowns (and installations as needed), and deliver exceptional sales and service to all accounts as required. Conduct regular service and sales visits to new and existing customers, proactively driving business growth through hands-on development of both new and existing accounts.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:

Service Vehicle Operations

• Deliver exceptional hose and fittings service to customers.
• Operate a mobile service vehicle to provide comprehensive on-site repairs to a high standard.
• Maintain and keep the mobile service vehicle in good condition.

Sales:

• Actively boost sales by cultivating new and existing customer relationships.
• Provide customers with prompt written quotes.
• Regularly issue invoices for completed work in a timely manner using an iPad or company-issued documents.
• Generate call reports and sales records, and input data as necessary into a CRM system.
• Collaborate efficiently with sales personnel to enhance overall sales performance.

Team

• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Offer technical and operational support to fellow HSSTs as needed.
• Participate in team meetings, toolbox talks, and general company meetings or conferences as required

Operations:

• Oversee inventory levels to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain stock in accordance with company policy and perform stocktakes within the specified timeframes.
• Supervise periodic offsite stocktakes at mine sites as needed.
• Conduct Take 5 assessments as necessary and promote WH&S practices to ensure safety for yourself and others at all times.

 
Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:
  • Certificate III or IV in Engineering - Mechanical Trade, Hydraulic Technology, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hydraulic service and sales.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems.

• Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Sales and customer service skills.
