Role Title: ICT Procurement & Strategy Manager
Start Date: End of July / Beginning of August 2024
End Date: 6 Months + likely extension
Hourly Rate: $700 per day + Super
Location: Wollongong / WFH (1-2 days per month in office)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a large technology transformation within a NSW Government Agency who are transforming the way support services are provided to the public. We are looking for an experienced procurement leader with extensive experience in ICT contract management and overarching procurement strategy.
About You:
- Extensive experience in IT procurement and contract management, including tendering processes and evaluation/review of suppliers and contractors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of legislative and policy compliance relating to NSW Government procurement and contract management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience managing multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in brief writing, developing Request for Quote or Request for Information proposals.
- Hands on project management experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the Procurement team to deliver effective customer service and procurement advice, to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
- Undertake business needs assessment, supply market analysis and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions.
- Develop, coordinate and lead sourcing activities and tendering to establish contracts and supply arrangements that meet business needs.
- Support the Senior Program Manager in other activities such as workshop coordination, gathering requirements and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop, implement and administer comprehensive contract management plans, establish and negotiate contracts.
