Job Description - ICT Quality Assurance Engineer - with Growth Opportunities

YNA is an entity within the Torrens Health group and is 100% South Australian owned and managed. We provide staff and technical support solutions in the health sector, nationally.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an ICT Quality Assurance Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing documentation, training material, and work instructions for varies business processes in line with our ISO 9001 and 27001 quality management systems. Additionally, you will utilise your IT knowledge to ensure that our practices align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.  

This position is located in Adelaide and the successful candidate will have at least five years of recent experience in developing and maintaining documentation including analysing and reviewing business processes and developing work instructions. 

Experience with implementing and/or maintaining documentation involving ISO9001or ISO27001 will be highly valued as will experience in internal and external audits. 

Key Responsibilities:  

Documentation Management:  

  • Develop, maintain, and update documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.  
  • Ensure documentation is aligned with the requirements of the ISO standards and reflects the organization's objectives. 

Compliance Oversight:  

  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to verify compliance with ISO requirements.  
  • Identify gaps and areas for improvement in controls and processes, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions.  
  • Be involved in external audits to maintain ISO accreditation. 
  • Provide management with regular compliance assessment reports. 

Risk Assessment and Management:  

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.  
  • Recommend risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize exposure to these risks.  

Training and Awareness:  

  • Facilitate training sessions and awareness programs to educate employees about new work processes and instructions and their responsibilities in maintaining ISO accreditations through adherence to policies, procedures and work instructions.  
  • Promote a culture of security awareness and compliance throughout the organisation.  

Incident Response:  

  • Support the incident response team in handling security incidents and breaches, including documentation of incident details, root cause analysis, and remediation activities.  

Continuous Improvement:  

  • Stay abreast of developments in best practices, standards, and regulations.  
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality systems.  

Qualifications and Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.  
  • Post graduate qualification in Quality Management 
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or equivalent certification preferred.  
  • In-depth understanding of the ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standard and its implementation requirements is preferred.  
  • Experience in documenting policies, procedures, work instructions and controls.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and propose practical solutions.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.  
  • Prior experience in IT governance, risk management, or compliance roles is essential.
