Job Description - ICT Service Desk Technician

Since starting in Perth in 2012, CMW Geosciences has expanded to 18 offices with 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand. We are hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate Geotech professionals, providing quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

The role of the ICT Service Desk Technician is pivotal in the smooth running of our IT systems. You will report to the Digital Technology Manager (based in Auckland, NZ) and work closely with our technical team to provide support across all locations. 

Please note that we are unable to provide sponsorship for the position.

Experience / Essential Skills

  • Ability to work across NZ/AU time zones
  • Previous experience in a Support Technician role is essential, including ITIL and ITSM experience.
  • Certified Microsoft Professional qualifications
  • Microsoft Office 365 administration
    • Azure Identity Management including MFA.
    • Microsoft Device Management, Endpoint management
    • OneDrive Business client
    • MS defender
    • Windows 10, 11 High level support
  • Experience of cyber security principles, threat monitoring, threat response and the general security practices
  • Experience with networking and remote access
  • Experience with application deployment and support
  • Preferred experience in; Jira, Microsoft Power Apps and Power BI, PowerShell, MS endpoint application deployment, prior SOE deployment experience
