Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team and take charge of managing and overseeing all aspects of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for one of our education customers. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for supporting educational technology initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of teaching and learning experiences through the effective implementation and maintenance of ICT resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Backed by our Team, You will Provide comprehensive technical support to faculty, staff, and students for all ICT-related issues, including hardware, software, networking, and audio-visual equipment.  
  • Manage the school's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, wireless systems, and security measures, ensuring reliability, scalability, and optimal performance.  Strong Desktop support and customer Service skills are a must and a reasonable understanding of Networking and Servers Required (however you will be assisted by a Team of knowledgable experts where required)
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the efficient and secure use of technology resources across the school.
  • Collaborate with department heads and educational staff to identify ICT needs and opportunities for technology integration into the curriculum, providing guidance and support for instructional technology initiatives.
  • Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of ICT equipment and software licenses, coordinating with vendors and managing inventory effectively.
  • Conduct regular assessments of existing ICT systems and services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, functionality, and user experience.
  • Occasionally Support the training and professional development of staff in the effective use of ICT tools and resources, including workshops, tutorials, and documentation.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in educational technology, evaluating their potential impact and relevance to the school environment.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant data protection regulations and policies, ensuring the security and privacy of sensitive information.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ICT-related projects and initiatives, liaising with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop project plans, and manage implementation timelines effectively.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT support roles, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong technical skills across a range of ICT areas, Desktop support skills are a must, Experience and skills to support Apple products including Macbooks and iPads are desirable.   A reasonable understanding of networking, Servers and security are also expected.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), interactive whiteboards, and digital learning resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders and build positive working relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-oriented approach to service delivery.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
