Job Description - Imports Operation Supervisor

About Us:

Impeccable Logistics is a fast-growing global Logistics and freight forwarding company. We have provided years of logistics services including export and import services as well as transportation to our large client base.

Position Overview:

Due to expansion in business, we are seeking an experienced Imports Operation Supervisor to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the import process and managing the bonded depot. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in import processes with proven experience in managing bonded warehouse operations, while working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will form a connection between the office processes and the warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and overseeing daily operations of the bonded depot (77G), including training, compliance, safety, receiving, storing, and clearance operations for our Campbellfield depot. 
  • Be one of the Point of Contact and manage interactions with Australia Border Force (ABF) and Quarantine (DAFF) and ensure compliance with these requirements are maintained at all times.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff to achieve operational goals.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Lodging and ensuring the end-to-end process is successful (documentation, sea / air cargo reporting, clearance, bonded warehouse, outturn, dispatch to transport team). 
  • Managing client enquiries and handling customer feedback/complaints in a timely manner
  • Lodging Air/Sea cargo automation and Outturn report
  • Monitor and report on depot performance metrics, such as productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement processes to streamline processes and improve overall performance efficiency.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy and ensuring accuracy with compliance obligations.
  • Performing other ad hoc tasks as required by their supervisor / company.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as Imports Operation Supervisor (or in a similar role).
  • Experience overseeing S77G Depot operations.
  • Strong knowledge of customs clearance, cartage, and end-to-end import processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. 
  • Experience with Expedient.
  • Logistics or freight forwarding knowledge & experience (Advantageous).
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and sustain client relations.
  • Strong attention to detail and good time management.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
