Industrial Cleaning - Leading Hand

Sodexo is currently looking for an experienced Industrial Cleaner Leading Hand to join our team. This is a fulltime Local position from Weipa on a 5:2 roster and is a great opportunity for the right person with the right experience who will deliver a hands-on proactive approach.  

Who are we looking for?   

You will be responsible for coordinating all mine site cleaning services and cleaning , working closely with the Management to provide a consistently high level of quality service to our client.  

You will foster a people culture by displaying strong leadership skills in coaching, mentoring, developing, recognising and rewarding direct reports. This role will suit a Leader who is happy to be hands on and support the team on the ground, using their initiative and problem-solving skills when challenges arise.

In addition to leading the Industrial Cleaning team from the front; you will spend time in field, assisting the manager with problem solving, running supplies out to locations & stepping in for the manager when they are offsite.

To be successful, you’ll need:  

• Australian Citizenship, or full Australian working rights  

• Able to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing and police check 

We’d love to hear from you if you’ve had previous experience in the Hospitality sector working a similar role and have experience managing teams. Working on-site with our teams means you’ll be working 10 hours per day on a 5:2 roster (Monday to Friday), often in extreme environments. So, having a good level of fitness will help you get through each day!
