An opportunity exists for an experienced Industrial Engineer in our Pacific Energy Connected (PEC) division. In addition to expanding the existing remote and renewable power solutions, PEC is one of Australia’s leading turnkey delivery partners for green hydrogen production and refueling facilities, with unmatched experience delivering end-to-end hydrogen ecosystems and specialised equipment and is on a rapid growth trajectory.
You will be accountable for supporting project delivery across multiple sites, coordinating the engineering process in compliance with project requirements and ISO 9001. You will establish and maintain the engineering frameworks, documentation & material in close consultation with subject matter experts.
You will analyse of the outputs of the engineering processes to drive the continual improvement of internal processes. Whilst the role will vary it will typically be tasked with the overall Engineering Quality Assurance and Control as well as communications, safety measures and risk management.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in developing, maintaining, and managing Inspection Testing Reports (ITR) and Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP). Ensuring all are completed in line with the project schedule.
- Coordinate meetings and work collaboratively to drive the engineering framework.
- Support in compiling Vendor Document Requirements during the tendering process.
- Support project teams with supplier quality management including:
- Technical assistance with part supply – provide engineering oversight on parts supply to ensure parts are supplied to correct specifications.
- Process improvement/development and implementation. This includes planning and designing systems to improve productivity regarding project delivery.
- Provide updates to Managers on progress, achievements, and non-conformances.
- Foster a workforce culture of excellence, innovation, honesty and teamwork.
About You: - Bachelor’s degree – Engineering (Industrial)
- Excellent organisational skills, strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of engineering principles, processes and procedures.
- Previous experience and thorough understanding of relevant industries relating to class 2 gasses, such as LPG, Natural Gas (CNG), Biomethane & Hydrogen.
- Experience with process improvements and development of business recommendations
- Relevant project experience such as participation in project scheduling, cost analysis, stakeholder management, engineering design & review and project closeout
- Knowledge of technical standards and regulatory framework surrounding all aspects of the project and relevant industries (i.e., LPG, high pressure, hazardous areas)
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and time management skills, conflict resolution abilities and confidence in dealing with a wide range of people, including tradespeople, customers/ stakeholders, management, suppliers and supervisors.
- Understanding priorities and ensuring work is completed on time to a safe and satisfactory level.
