We’re partnered with a global, technology-driven quantitative trading firm investing heavily in its cyber security capability to support a highly sophisticated trading and technology environment.

This is a hands-on Security Engineering role with broad exposure across identity and access management, endpoint security, cloud security, automation, and infrastructure protection. You'll work alongside engineering, infrastructure, and development teams to design and implement security solutions that directly support critical trading and business systems.

The role offers strong ownership, technical breadth, and the opportunity to work on complex security challenges in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

What You’ll Work On

1. Identity and access management (IAM) and privileged access management (PAM) solutions
2. Endpoint security, hardening, and threat prevention controls
3. Cloud security architecture and posture management
4. Security automation and tooling development
5. Authentication and access control systems
6. Security infrastructure upgrades, implementations, and optimisation projects
7. Network security, firewalls, proxies, and connectivity troubleshooting
8. Cross-functional collaboration with infrastructure, engineering, and development teams
9. Security risk identification, remediation, and continuous improvement initiatives
10. Design and support of bespoke security solutions across a global environment

Required Skills

1. 5+ years experience in Security Engineering or Operational Security roles
2. Strong experience with endpoint security, hardening, IAM, PAM, and cloud security
3. Good understanding of operating system internals and security best practices
4. Scripting and automation experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
5. Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, and switching
6. Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and security issues across distributed environments
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
8. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Nice to Have

1. Experience working within large-scale enterprise or high-performance technology environments
2. Exposure to cloud security platforms and modern security tooling
3. Experience designing security controls from the ground up
4. Background in automation, infrastructure engineering, or platform security
5. Experience within trading, financial services, or other highly regulated industries
