Reporting to the General Manager -Finance and Legal you will be part of the in-house legal team providing internal advice and managing legal and compliance activities.

The Role

• Draft, review, and negotiate contractual agreements and other legal documents.
• Analyse, interpret, and apply legislation and assist the business to navigate regulatory frameworks.
• Provide timely legal advice on contracts, litigation, governance, compliance, risk management, and intellectual property matters.
• Assist with representing the organisation in tribunal and court proceedings.

Your experience

• Ideal candidate will have experience in commercial law , general practice or litigation.
• Minimum of 2-4 year's post admission experience.
• Ideally have experience and exposure to navigating legal frameworks such as the Australian Consumer Law and the Franchise Code of Conduct.
• Be a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Have a passion for legal compliance, energy and a 'can do' attitude to support other teams across the business.
