Job Description - Instructional Designer (12 Month Contract) - Start Immediately

We are in search of an adaptable Instructional Designer (12 Month Contract) to join our innovative team at ClearView Wealth Limited in Sydney NSW.

We're seeking an Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Development Operations team in a newly created role.

In this role, you will craft engaging and effective training materials aimed at enhancing operational performance throughout the organisation. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful change and drive continuous improvement across our organisation.

 

As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for:

 

Analysis and Collaboration:

  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments with stakeholders, including subject matter experts, department heads, and regulatory compliance officers, to identify training objectives and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate closely with the L&D Consultant and Operation Change and Transformation Manager, to ensure training initiatives are aligned with organisational goals and regulatory requirements

Design and Development:

  • Conceptualise and develop engaging training materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led sessions, and job aids, applying instructional design principles and adult learning theory
  • Ensure that training content is tailored to diverse learner preferences, operational processes, and compliance mandates within the life insurance industry

Content Creation:

  • Create dynamic multimedia content, such as videos, simulations, and interactive exercises, to enhance learner engagement and retention while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Alignment and Compliance:

  • Ensure that training programs are aligned with operational processes, compliance mandates, and organisational objectives to enhance effectiveness and meet regulatory requirements specific to the life insurance sector
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry trends relevant to the life insurance sector, updating training materials as needed, to ensure compliance and relevance.

Evaluation and Improvement:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback channels, and performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance learning outcomes continually

Skills Required:

  • Preferably 5+ years of experience in instructional design within Insurance and/or Financial Services
  • Proficient in instructional design using e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate
  • Creative ability to craft engaging learning experiences
  • Meticulous attention to detail in refining training materials for accuracy and clarity
  • Flexible to adapt instructional strategies based on feedback and emerging trends
  • Dedicated to understanding learner and stakeholder needs for effective training solutions
  • Capable of conducting train-the-trainer sessions to upskill business roles
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple projects and deliver quality training materials on time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear conveyance of complex information to diverse audiences
  • Proficient in engaging stakeholders at all organisational levels with strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Analytical thinking to evaluate training program effectiveness and drive data-driven improvements
